"Developing Solutions that Build Businesses from the Grass Roots Up"
Helping you make the transition from Graduate to employee
Typically you only get one chance to make a first impression but you are unlikely to decide when that moment happens. Preparing for the telephone interview and screening process is vital for candidates to progress further. Remember that the person conducting the interview is looking to see real ability without ever having met you. Our training on mirroring techniques and other ear to ear techniques will put you in the best position possible to quickly become a stand out candidate!
This is an incredibly important part of the process and your need to spend as much time as possible working on your CV. It is not normally something that comes naturally to most people, so we do have a section in our GGR Interview process that is just dedicated to your CV's. How they are read, where you can improve them and how to make the important information stand out. We will not do this for you, but we will help you understand what you need to do.
Make sure you look the part, clean shaven, suit, well groomed. It is however not just down to the clothes you wear but how you organise your documents, your handshakes, mannerisms, outward comfort levels etc. We will give you honest feedback in all areas, so that you can learn and make sure you really are the polished item. Its all about the fine tuning.
Nerves so often let people down in interviews. We believe the number one reason for nerves is fear of the unknown, through lack of experience, preparation and practice. At a GGR interview we give you the opportunity to be in a real interview environment, however, we can stop, rewind and analyse where necessary and then restart. You get to practice the one thing most people don't; the interview.
Presentations are an essential part of the interviewing process, these normally ranges from 3-10 mins and can be on any chosen subject. We supply you with a subject, then prepare and practice in an extremely realistic environment. Our assessors will give you helpful, honest feedback, focusing on areas of improvement so you can deliver as if thats all you do.
For us these interviews are not just about assessing you, its also about understanding your ability to learn and grow, after all these are graduate TRAINING programs. We need to know you can take on board our comments and use them to your advantage to come back better and stronger.
Organisational skills are an essential part of every job and assessed in every interview. When giving your interview brief for a GGR Interview you will be tested and trained on these skills so be sure to go that extra mile.
Role playing is about testing your ability to sell, not your ability to role play, remember that! You will be put you on the spot and tested; this is an important learning tool, because we know our clients will test you. Take on feedback and adapt, as listening is a vital part to selling!
Understanding the motivation behind your job search is equally as important as the search itself. We will test you and talk to you about your choices and how you got here, so be prepared to answer these questions.
How you present your achievements in an interview is vital to interviewing success. Before meeting with our team have a thorough list of your achievements prepared going as far back as you can. Achievements need a story and with any heroic journey we have to be thrown into peril from an enormous challenge and connect with why this seemingly insurmountable obstacle has to be conquered. Then we can share in the joy of success. Our experts will help you craft this but you must arrive prepared.
Every organization will require you to work effectively as part of the larger team dynamic. This dynamic already exists and they will need you to fit in to their corporate culture. If it seems that you are not the personality that would complement their team then a savvy employer will recognize this and ignore your ability, achievements and drive so as to not destabilize their current success. We work with the best clients so we need the best candidates that will fit and our understanding and knowledge of these clients means that you are not going in blind, but with a good understanding of the cultural fit this organization requires. Truly invaluable preparation!
Research, research and more research... understanding your chosen profession and industry, make sure you do your homework on the company and the job role. Use the internet, newspapers and whatever other creative resources you can to understand more about what might be ask of you. One of the main things an interviewer is looking for is that you understand why you want the position. Its all about making an informed decision.
Your ability to handle and navigate through objections is key to your future in professional sales. This skill is a process and not necessarily within your DNA. So the good news is you can learn it, the challenge is for you to learn it. We drill on objection handling that will prove invaluable when the out of left field comments come on client interview.
95% of our roles are for sales positions in a wide variety of industries and sectors, the one common goal is your ability to sell, negotiate and close. We will give you every opportunity to do this in a GGR Interview and give you guidelines on how to close. We are not trying to make a homogenous and uniform candidate, just compliment the tools you already have.

Candidate - Toronto
My experience with GGR was one of ease and no pressure. Although their job is to place candidates I really felt like they took the time to get to know me and was always readily available to help me negotiate.
